Basically I try to improve my vocab my reading stuff online and then I check up the meaning of words I don't know on thefreedictionary.com. By far, it has been my favourite. They have got an American, British and a baritone pronunciation of the word along with a thesaurus, so it's pretty useful if you are interested in expanding your vocabulary. My experience tells me that the more words you know the bigger your world can be. I also believe that you can transcend one language's linguistic limitations by building your vocabulary in multiple languages.
