These quotes are good. The quotes I need are the ones that symbolize growing up, and becoming a woman. I need a perfect quote by a woman to a woman. One that can make one cry, and love more. I need a quote for a speech to the best friend. not a best friend. THE best friend. and I need to make it perfect.

I found you on StumbleUpon. Read every single quote and every comment. I copied and pasted a bunch of them into my own quote collection. And I will share a few of my own that I haven’t seen on this thread already:
$1,000,000 in the bank isn’t the fantasy. The fantasy is the lifestyle of complete freedom it supposedly allows. The question is then, How can one achieve the millionaire lifestyle of complete freedom without first having $1,000,000? -Tim Ferriss

If someone told me you could be normal or you could continue to have your ADD, I would take ADD,” says Neeleman, who foregoes medication to manage the condition. “I’m afraid of taking drugs once, blowing a circuit, and then being like the rest of you.”
The quest to have more can be seen in our homes as well as our waistlines. In 1950, the average home was 1,100 square feet. In 1970, it had increased to 1,400 square feet. By the year 2000, the average home was more than 2,000 square feet, despite the fact that family sizes have gotten smaller.
Saying that you don’t have time to track your money is like saying you don’t have time to watch the traffic signals as you drive. In fact, you don’t have time not to. You spend thousands of hours each year earning—why wouldn’t you take a few hours a month to track where it goes?
Many more people could ride out the storm tossed waves in their economic lives if they had their year’s supply of food…and were debt-free. Today we find that many have followed this counsel in reverse; they have at least a year’s supply of debt and are food-free.

Jim Lovell: We learned a lot about the Moon, but what we really learned was about the Earth. The fact that just from the distance of the Moon, you can put your thumb up, and you can hide the Earth behind your thumb. Everything that you have ever known, your loved ones, your business, the problems of the Earth itself, all behind your thumb. And how insignificant we really all are. But then how fortunate we are to have this body, and to be able to enjoy living here amongst the beauty of the Earth itself.

I have many more, because I am an avid quote collector. But I will stop for now.
Thanks for the post!
Thanks everyone for enriching this collection! Although I am not personally responding to each individual comment here, I read all of them, and always include in my collection the quotes I like best.
Keep them coming!
Nice collection….. the best is by Adlai E., “My definition of a free society is a society where it is safe to be unpopular.” Its highly relevant in the current times.
I think Freud came up with another interesting quote: “If youth knew, if age could”.
That is one crappy list. Most of those quotes are pointless or just plain stupid. Here are some examples:
“9. Do not confuse motion and progress. A rocking horse keeps moving but does not make any progress.”
“12. Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.
“13. There is a great difference between worry and concern. A worried person sees a problem, and a concerned person solves a problem.”
Do you actually find these genius or interesting? You cant consider anything that sound profound a great quote.
The best I found were these:
41. Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.
42. Millions long for immortality who do not know what to do with themselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
45. There is nobody so irritating as somebody with less intelligence and more sense than we have.
60. A conclusion is the place where you got tired thinking.
Notice the # position of these and compare with some of the ones above them.
You are disgracing great quotes mixing them with crap.
These are great. Thanks for putting them together like you have.

Because I’m “supposed” to be working right now and am looking up quotes instead, I couldn’t help but think of an Oscar Wilde quote and have a laugh at myself:
“Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinion, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.” -Oscar Wilde, De Profundis
